Celebrating Don Jones' Ministry

,

Join us in honoring the ministry of Don Jones, our Missions and Outreach Pastor, as he prepares for retirement from full-time ministry at First Moore. Don, and his wife Jane, joined the team at First Moore after decades of ministry as both international missionaries and local church ministry in April 2016. While Don has served in many capacities in his time at First Moore, the one constant has been his leadership of our Spanish Speaking Congregation.

Don will be moving into a new season of ministry at the end of April 2022. As he makes this transition, we want to do our best to honor his ministry time at First Moore. We will be celebrating his ministry during our Church Family Meeting on Sunday, April 24. During this meeting, we will have a table set up in the Atrium where you can bring notes, cards, or gifts of appreciation. We hope that you will join us in celebrating many years of faithful ministry by Don and Jane Jones.

For The Future Offering

In December 2021, First Moore launched a stewardship campaign, “For the Future”, to help raise funds for updating our HVAC system and remodeling the Worship Center. The people of First Moore were challenged to give sacrificially as they go above and beyond their tithes and offerings. There are many ways people can give to this campaign; consistently (weekly, monthly, etc.), through one time gifts at special offerings, or maybe even both.

Sunday, April 24, we will be receiving a special “For The Future” offering. Please be in prayer about how you might be a part of this offering.

Holy Week at First Moore

On Palm Sunday, April 10, we will begin Holy Week with a night of worship that will include testimonies, scripture reading, and worship through song. This will begin at 6pm in the Worship Center.

Our Good Friday Service will be a more intimate time of reflection as we remember the death of Jesus. This service will begin at 6:30 in the Atrium on Friday, April 15.

Easter Sunday will be a joyous morning of fellowship and worship celebrating our risen Savior starting with a breakfast from 8:45 to 10:00am and then Worship, beginning at 10:30am. We hope you, your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, whoever… can join us that morning!

Week of Prayer

There is a great mission field among us in North America. The North American Mission Board is working to spread the gospel in the darkest places. Join us in praying for North American Missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering from March 27-April 3. Our church will be focusing our efforts on this offering at our Mission Banquet in December but if you would like to give now you can do so through the button below.

Discipleship Pastor Candidate

First Moore is excited to announce John Wilkerson as our candidate to be our next Discipleship Pastor. John has been serving the Lord faithfully on college campuses for the past fifteen years. He has a great heart for the Lord and for making disciples. We believe that he will be a great addition to our pastoral team.

Sunday, April 10, has been set aside for the congregation to get to meet John and to affirm the work that God has been doing. We will have a Meet and Greet in the Atrium from 9:00am-10:00am with light breakfast items. Immediately following our 10:30am Worship Service we will enter into a time of special called business for a vote of affirmation.

Join us in prayer over the next month that we could continue to be in step with what God wants and for the future work that is to come.

Women's Bible Study- Spring 2022

We are excited to welcome ladies of all ages to our 2022 Spring Bible Study! Beginning April 5, we will meet in the East Leadership Center at 9:30. We suggest parking in the Senior Parking Lot, on the southeast side of the Building.
